Tungsten carbide chain must be sharpened with a diamond wheel or diamond file. A standard round file will not touch carbide.

The safest check is the drive-link count. Lay out your old chain and count the drive links (the teeth that sit down inside the bar), or read the numbers stamped on your bar. Bar length alone is not enough, two saws with an 18 inch bar can take different drive-link counts. If in doubt, use the Chain Finder or send us a photo of your bar and we will confirm it.
