A reliable everyday chainsaw chain — without the premium price tag
TUFOZI standard steel chainsaw chains are built for the cutting most of us actually do — firewood, fence lines, storm clean-up and general property work. They're a semi-chisel steel chain that holds a good edge, sharpens easily with a normal round file, and costs a fraction of the big-brand equivalents. If you want a dependable chain that just gets the job done, this is the one most people reach for.
What is a semi-chisel chainsaw chain (and why it suits farm work)?
A semi-chisel chain has a rounded cutter corner instead of the square edge you get on full chisel chain. That rounded profile is more forgiving — it keeps cutting when the timber's dirty, sandy or dry, and it holds its edge longer in the abrasive Australian hardwoods (ironbark, red gum, stringybark, box) that blunt a full chisel chain fast. Full chisel is a touch quicker in clean softwood, but for everyday farm and firewood cutting, semi-chisel is the sensible all-rounder.
TUFOZI vs premium chains — where the value sits
Premium-brand chains can cost two to three times more for the same pitch, gauge and chain type. TUFOZI gives you a standard steel semi-chisel chain at a price that makes sense for everyday use, so you can keep a few spares in the shed without thinking twice. If you're processing big volumes of hardwood and want the longest edge life between sharpenings, that's where our tungsten carbide range earns its keep — but for most farm cutting, a standard TUFOZI chain is all you need.
Who TUFOZI chains are for
Farmers and landowners clearing and maintaining the block. Firewood cutters who'd rather keep a stack of affordable chains than baby one expensive one. Smallholders and hobby cutters who pull the saw out a handful of times a year and want it sharp and ready. Anyone who sharpens their own chains and likes how easily semi-chisel comes back with a round file.
Getting the right size for your saw
Chainsaw chains are matched by pitch, gauge and drive-link count — get those three right and the chain fits. Common setups: Stihl saws often run 3/8" pitch .063 (1.6mm); Husqvarna farm and pro saws often run .325 .058 (1.5mm); smaller and low-profile saws run 3/8LP .050 (1.3mm) or .043 (1.1mm). Not sure? Use our Chain Finder tool or call Aaron on 0431 183 421 — send a photo of your bar markings and we'll sort it in a couple of minutes.
Buying in bulk — 100ft rolls
Cutting a lot, or kitting out the shed? TUFOZI comes in 100ft bulk rolls as well as pre-made loops, so you can make up your own chains and bring the per-chain cost down even further. See the 100ft rolls.
TUFOZI standard chainsaw chain FAQs
Are TUFOZI chains tungsten carbide?
No — TUFOZI is a standard steel semi-chisel chain. It's the affordable everyday option. If you want carbide-tipped edge life, see our tungsten carbide range.
Will it fit my Stihl, Husqvarna or Echo?
Almost certainly — match the pitch, gauge and drive links. Use the Chain Finder or send a photo of your bar.
How long does a standard steel chain last?
It depends on the timber and how clean it is. Semi-chisel holds up well in hardwood and dirty wood; sharpen regularly with a round file and you'll get plenty of life out of it. Keep your edge with our sharpening wheels.
What does the crossed-out price mean?
The crossed-out price reflects the typical retail price of an equivalent-specification chainsaw chain from leading premium brands in the Australian market. It is not a former Farm & Acre Co. selling price. Savings shown are indicative and based on comparable pitch, gauge and chain-type specifications.
