NLIS Tags VIC — Cattle RFID Tags & Sheep/Goat eID

Need NLIS tags in Victoria? Farm & Acre Co supplies livestock identification tags and tagging gear for Victorian producers, including Allflex Australia products, Leader Products Australia ranges, and FOFIA tagging equipment.

Quick rule snapshot (VIC) - Cattle: Two tag types are used — breeder (white) and post-breeder (orange). Tags are applied to the right (offside) ear, and only one electronic NLIS cattle tag should be present at any time. - Sheep & goats: Individual eID is mandatory in Victoria (fully implemented). - PIC: Order tags for the PIC where they will be applied. Sheep & goat eID in Victoria - Victoria implemented mandatory sheep/goat eID earlier than other states; all sheep and goats must have an accredited NLIS eID before leaving a property (regardless of age).

Sheep and goat eID is available in pink as a post breeder

NLIS approved Visual-only ear tags will be removed from the market - producers can continue to buy and use management tags, but no visual tags will bear the NLIS logo after 1 January 2027.
