We supply two main ranges: livestock identification ear tags (Allflex, FOFIA, Leader Products and Shearwell: NLIS, EID and visual tags for cattle, sheep and goats) and tungsten carbide tipped chainsaw chains and bars built for hard, dirty Australian timber. FOFIA tags are listed online with volume pricing and custom printing and can be ordered by add to cart; bulk and custom orders can also go through the order form. Leader Products pricing is handled through our reseller arrangement. Shearwell products are listed online with add to cart, and the sheep and goat eID tags show state rebate prices when you pick your state.
Product range — livestock identification tags
NLIS (National Livestock Identification System), EID (electronic) and visual ear tags for cattle, sheep and goats. We supply Allflex, FOFIA and Leader Products and match the brand and size to your job. Allflex and FOFIA tags are printed and dispatched from our supplier in Queensland.

Shearwell range
We sell the Shearwell range online. Prices, state options and the order form are on each product page.

- Shearwell NLIS eID sheep and goat tags: one-piece SET electronic tags printed with your PIC and NLIS serial. Strips of 10, minimum 10.

Does Farm & Acre Co sell Shearwell tags?
Yes. We sell the Shearwell range online: NLIS eID sheep and goat tags, management sheep and goat tags, BOS visual tags, NLIS cattle tags, applicators, the SDL440S stick reader, the mobile printer and ShearWeigh weighing gear. How much are Shearwell sheep and goat eID tags?
$1.99 a tag, printed with your PIC and NLIS serial. In QLD, WA and SA a rebate price applies to some colours, and the page shows it as soon as you pick your state.
What are the state rebate prices, and when do they end?
- QLD: $1.17 a tag on every colour, until 30 June 2027 or until the scheme money runs out.
- WA: $1.33 a tag on Orange (2026), Yellow and Pink, until 31 December 2026.
- SA: $1.47 a tag on Orange (2026), until 31 December 2026.
- NSW/ACT and TAS: $1.99 a tag.
Once a scheme ends, the rebate price on that line stops and the page asks you to give us a buzz.
Is there a minimum order?
Sheep and goat eID tags and management sheep tags come in strips of 10, so order 10 or more, in tens. MET stainless steel cattle tags come in strips of 20 at $4.95 a tag ($99 a strip). Electronic button cattle tags ($3.91) and BOS tags can be ordered in any number.
What colour do I need for 2026 and 2027?
Sheep and goat NLIS breeder tags are Orange for 2026 and Light Green for 2027. Post-breeder sheep and goat tags are Pink. Cattle NLIS tags don't change by year: White for breeders and Orange for post-breeder cattle.
Which Shearwell cattle tag do I need?
The MET is a one-piece stainless steel NLIS electronic tag and goes in with the metal EID cattle tag applicator. The electronic button tag goes in with the BOS tag applicator. Both come in White (breeder) and Orange (post-breeder), with your PIC and numbering added on the order form.
Which applicator suits which tag?
- SET sheep and goat tags: the SET tag applicator ($22), the Speedy Tagger or the Turbo Tagger.
- BOS visual tags and electronic button tags: the BOS tag applicator or the Easy Squeeze.
- MET cattle tags: the metal EID cattle tag applicator.

How much is shipping, and when do tags go out?
Shearwell orders ship at a flat $14 anywhere in Australia. Allow roughly 7 to 10 days for tag dispatch. If you've got a marking or sale date coming up, tell us when you order.
Can I order if I'm in Victoria?
Victorian NLIS tags are ordered through Agriculture Victoria, so our cattle tag page sends Victorian orders there and our sheep eID page doesn't list Victoria. BOS and management tags aren't NLIS tags, so you can order those from anywhere in Australia. If your state isn't on the list, give us a buzz.
Is there a levy on SA cattle tags?
Yes. SA cattle NLIS tags carry the SA cattle levy of $1.50 a tag. Tick to accept it on the product page and it's added to your order total.
Can I get a tag bucket file with my sheep eID tags?
Yes. Tick the tag bucket file box on the order form and you'll get the list of EID numbers matched to the printed numbers.
Does the SDL440S stick reader work with a phone?
It reads sheep and cattle eID tags and sends the numbers by Bluetooth to Shearwell's free EID Connect and NLIS Connect apps, or to a compatible weigh head. It's $1,150.
How do I order?
Open the product, pick your colour and state, choose a print layout, then fill in your PIC and print details. The total shows before you add to cart. If your order doesn't fit the form, contact us and we'll sort it.
Product range — tungsten carbide chainsaw chains & bars
We stock tungsten carbide tipped chains only. A carbide cutter brazed to every tooth means they go up to 10 times longer between sharpening than standard chains (when maintained) and keep cutting through dry hardwood, dirt and grit that blunts an ordinary chain in minutes. Tungsten carbide chains
Carbide-tipped chains stay sharp up to 10 times longer between sharpening than standard chains (when maintained) and hold an edge through dirty, dry and hardwood cutting. They must be sharpened with a diamond wheel or diamond file — a standard steel file will not cut carbide.
Sheep & goat NLIS / eID
Sheep and goat eID tags are supplied via Allflex, Leader Products, FOFIA and Shearwell. FOFIA now supplies sheep and goat NLIS (EID) tags too (the ET969), alongside its cattle NLIS range. Visual (VID) sheep and goat tags are also available.
E-Tagger boundaries
The E-Tagger (battery-powered tagger) is an applicator only. It applies standard, fly, feedlot and visual tags. It does not apply NLIS, eID or RFID tags, and it does not record tag data. For NLIS application, use a manual or specialist applicator matched to the tag brand.
FOFIA pricing
FOFIA tag pricing is public and listed on the website with volume price breaks. Allflex pricing is listed online; Leader Products pricing is via our reseller arrangement.
