Husqvarna-spec 3/8 .058 (1.5mm): match the gauge to your bar
The .058" (1.5mm) gauge is the thickness of the drive link that rides in the bar groove, and it's the gauge most Husqvarna-style saws run in 3/8 pitch. It has to match your bar exactly, a .058 (1.5mm) chain won't sit right in a .063 (1.6mm) groove and vice versa. The 3/8 pitch (rivet spacing) suits bigger bars and heavier cutting, so this combo turns up on plenty of 18", 20" and longer saws doing firewood and clean-up. If your bar stamp reads 3/8 and 1.5mm (or .058"), this is your collection. The numbers are usually stamped near the bar mount, or printed on your old chain's box if you've still got it.

Pitch and gauge get you most of the way, but the loop also has to be the right length, and that's the drive link count, not the bar inches. The same 20" bar can take different drive link counts across brands and mounts, so don't guess off bar length alone. Count the drive links on your old chain (the teeth in the groove), or send us a photo of the bar stamp and we can usually work it out pretty quickly. Get the wrong length and we'll sort it, we'd rather you end up with the right loop than wrestle one that doesn't fit.
