The box also has a FOFIA E-Tagger Pro in it, which sells on its own for $490. So the tagger effectively comes with the kit. Those figures use the cheapest management tag size, so Large or Extra Large works out further ahead again.
The E-Tagger is an applicator. It puts the tag in. It does not read or record, and it is not NLIS or RFID approved.
Don't run 500 head? Read this bit
Most people we talk to about this box aren't tagging 500 this season. They're buying it because the tags keep.
You choose the colours. So you might take 200 in this year's colour, then split the rest across the next couple of years, or run a different colour for your heifers, or for the mob you bought in. Tags don't go off sitting in the shed.
If you're running 150 head, that's your tagging sorted for about three years, bought at today's price.
