Leader's handheld NLIS tag reader with GPS and Bluetooth built in. The GPScanID 80 reads every HDX (NLIS approved) and FDX-B electronic ear tag to ISO 11784/11785, so it covers cattle and sheep EID. Each read is stored with a timestamp and the GPS position, and the free desktop software shows your sessions on a map and handles NLIS transfers.
Read range is up to 40 cm on HDX tags and 25 cm on FDX-B, depending on the tag and how you hold the reader. It holds up to 175,000 reads across 1,000 sessions, so a big day in the yards doesn't need a download halfway through. Bluetooth sends reads straight to a PC, scale head or printer. Up to 8 hours on a charge, and it's dust and water rated to IP65.
In the Standard Pack: the GPScanID 80 reader, USB cable, 110V/240V AC USB charger, and a hard plastic carry case. The desktop NLIS transfer software is included.
Who it suits: anyone who wants their reads stored on the device with a location against each one, at a price under the big stick readers. If you only need to read a number off a tag in the crush and send it to your phone, the FOFIA PT160 does that for less. If you're scanning a mob walking past in a race, a full length stick reader gets you more range. The NLIS tag reader buying guide runs through the whole range.
Moving stock as well as reading tags? The Leader Red and Yellow Heeler cattle prodders are on the same page.

"Highly recommend Farm & Acre Co. A great small family business run by a young local family who are having a real crack and having a go. It's awesome to see people backing themselves, supporting small farmers, and keeping things local. Every dollar spent helps local families and the farming community, not big corporates. "Unreal family business. Seeing a small family go out and have a go gets my vote every day."
"I couldn't be happier with the service and products I've received from Farm & Acre Co. I've purchased both cattle ear tags and chainsaw chains, and the quality of everything has been outstanding. Their customer service is second to none—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Pricing is extremely competitive, especially considering the quality of the products, and the turnaround time was impressively fast. My order arrived quickly and exactly as promised. It's rare these days to find a business that delivers the best service, best products, and great value all at once, but Farm & Acre Co does exactly that. In my opinion, they're one of the best farm supply businesses in Australia, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the rural or agricultural industry."
