The battery cattle prodder. Leader's Yellow Heeler runs on four C size batteries, and they're in the box. Nothing to charge, nothing to forget. If the prodder lives in the ute and comes out a few times a year, this is the one, and spare batteries are at any servo.
The 810 mm flexible shaft is Leader's long one. It's the length for race work and loading ramps, where you want to reach the hindquarter without putting your arm in with the animal. The wrist strap stops it getting flicked out of your hand. It moves cattle along with a short, high-voltage, low-current pulse, and it's built for rough yard work.
In the box: handle, 810 mm flexible shaft, wrist strap, 4 x C size batteries. Weight with shaft 945 g. 12 month warranty under normal use. Leader part PROD1000B.
Spares: the same Leader shafts in 300 mm, 560 mm and 810 mm fit the Yellow and Red Heeler. We can order them in.
In the yards every week? The Red Heeler is the rechargeable version with 240V and 12V chargers, for $184.
Using it legally: every state allows electric prodders on cattle over 3 months old (NSW says weaned). Hindquarter or shoulder only, never the face, udder, anus or genitals, never on an animal that can't move away, and sparingly. Our state by state guide has the detail.
Warning: do not beat an animal with this product or use it for a prolonged period on any single animal. Illegal for use on humans.

"Highly recommend Farm & Acre Co. A great small family business run by a young local family who are having a real crack and having a go. It's awesome to see people backing themselves, supporting small farmers, and keeping things local. Every dollar spent helps local families and the farming community, not big corporates. "Unreal family business. Seeing a small family go out and have a go gets my vote every day."
"I couldn't be happier with the service and products I've received from Farm & Acre Co. I've purchased both cattle ear tags and chainsaw chains, and the quality of everything has been outstanding. Their customer service is second to none—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Pricing is extremely competitive, especially considering the quality of the products, and the turnaround time was impressively fast. My order arrived quickly and exactly as promised. It's rare these days to find a business that delivers the best service, best products, and great value all at once, but Farm & Acre Co does exactly that. In my opinion, they're one of the best farm supply businesses in Australia, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the rural or agricultural industry."
